Jeremy Squier

Certified Financial Planner, Key Individual and Director.

Jeremy has been engaged in the financial advisory industry both as an advisor and as a practice manager since
October 1989. His tenure included 2 years with Liberty Life, 12 years with the Sage Group and 21 years with
Squier Financial Services (Bespoke Solutions). During his time with Bespoke Solutions he, along with his wife
Sabra, grew the largest and most profitable advisory practice in Wealth Associates and helped establish and
grow out the group’s Investment arm. He was a director of Wealth Associates was a founding member of the
group’s Investment Committee and was the largest shareholder in that group before it was sold to Carmel Wealth.

In June 2025, Jeremy, Sabra and the core members of their team concluded a negotiated management buyout
of their part of Wealth Associates and commenced operations in the Wealth and Asset Financial Services FSP
(Wealth and Asset Advisors).

Evidence-based independent financial advice backed up by strong relationships with clients, staff and key
providers has always been the emphasis during his career. Jeremy has always promoted a strongly team-based
approach to advising and servicing clients. He did a B Com at Rhodes and holds the CFP designation and has
also completed post-graduate investment focused qualifications via the FPI and UOFS.

He is a Key Individual, director and majority shareholder in our business.

Sabra Squier

Financial advisor, Key Individual and Director.

Sabra joined Sage Life in 1996 and built her client base through a focussed expertise advising clients on their medical aid and related needs. She uses a wholistic approach to financial advice which in addition to her medical aid speciality, includes Wills, estate planning, assurance and wealth creation.

Together, Sabra and Jeremy established the core of the business in November 2003 with Sabra performing key additional functions as a Key Individual and with the marketing strategy of the business. She is a people’s person and has a natural ability to attract and work with clients not only through her knowledge and professionalism, but also because of her immense empathy and care for each individual.

Sabra is a Key Individual, Director and is a founder shareholder in our business.

Michelle Vivian

Specialist Short Term Insurance advisor.

Michelle joined our team in 2009 and has progressively established herself professionally as a specialist broker in our insurance advisory division. Her career reflects focussed specialisation in the Short-Term Insurance advisory arena and her personalised and caring service levels to our clients. Michelle also performs support roles in executing our marketing and sales strategies.

Michelle’s understanding of short-term insurance products, claims and risk management enables her to ensure consistently superior service delivery to our clients.

Michelle has a risk management mindset and a genuine people-first approach to working with our clients, staff and our core suppliers.  Her core values are to always put the clients’ interests first with a vast knowledge in policy wordings to allow clients to understand the products they are purchasing.

Ryan has over 15 years of experience in the financial services arena having established himself professionally in both insurance advisory and business operations. His career reflects a track record of driving operational success, optimising processes, and implementing strategic initiatives to enhance business efficiencies.

Ryan’s understanding of short-term insurance products, risk management, and regulatory compliance enables him to effectively manage operations teams ensuring service delivery to our end clients.

His Short-term insurance advisory experience straddles underwriting, claims, policy administration, and business development.

Ryan has a strategic operational mindset and a genuine affinity for working with clients, staff and our core suppliers. His integrity, analytical approach, and humility make Ryan a valued member of our team.

Marc Squier

Financial Advisor & Wealth Manager.

Marc is one of our financial advisors specialising in investment and risk planning. Marc has had exposure to various different industries during his earlier career, and since he joined our team in July 2020 he has been actively involved in wealth management, helping clients create and protect their financial assets through his detailed and relationship-based approach.

Marc is building up the clients he serves both through engagement with his network and by servicing existing clients who he already has a mandate with. In an industry where the average age of established advisors is well over 55, Marc represents the next generation both within our business and the industry. He is passionate about attention to detail and personalised service.

Tanya Gorlee

Paraplanner and Financial Advisor

Tanya is a seasoned professional having been in the industry since 1989. Her experience straddles Old Mutual, Liberty, Sage and Momentum where she worked in admin and broker support/business development roles.

She moved into an independent advisory role in 2023 and being a valued external colleague of ours for many years, when she moved to the Western Cape in 2024, we had no hesitation in appointing her to our team. She possesses a real “can-do” attitude and with her past experience within some of our key provider companies, brings an extra element to complement our team.

Hazel Jooste

Senior Financial Planning Administrator

Hazel joined our industry as a youngster in 1983 and is now one of the “wise older heads” in our team. Jeremy and Hazel have worked with each other at Sage since 1991 and have formed a formidable team working together with our clients over the years.

Hazel is well known to our clients and receives frequent accolades from them due to her knowledge, professionalism and care for their financial well-being. Hazel has a no-nonsense approach to her work and holds everyone to account in pursuit of outstanding service to our clients.

As such, she is a highly valued and respected member of our team.

Daphney has been part of our administrative team since 2008, having worked herself up from the very bottom of the ladder to her current position. We are very proud of this lady’s humility, patience and determination in doing so. She has a phenomenal capacity for work and willingly takes on all the tasks to which she is assigned. Her core speciality is in keeping our client’s portfolios updated.

Daphney has a very pleasant demeanour, and you will seldom find her without a smile on her face. As a result, she is not only a key performer in our team, but she is also a quiet “cheer leader” who subtly keeps the mood positive.

Devina McKop

Senior administrator specialising in Medical Aid and gap cover.

Devina has been a part of our team since 2013. She works together with Sabra in looking after the membership, administrative and claims needs of our Medical Aid and Gap cover clients. Her calm demeanour combined with her knowledge in her role, is crucial in dealing with often emotional and frustrated clients and solving the frequent problems involved in dealing with doctors, hospitals and medical aids.

Devina quietly goes about her work and is often thanked by our clients by what she does for them. She is also one of the calming influences in our team and is well respected by her colleagues.

Noreen joined our team in 2015 as an eager young graduate. She is a valued member of our Short term team and looks after the administrative and claims needs of our Domestic and Commercial Short term Insurance clients. Her calm demeanour combined with her knowledge in her role, is crucial in dealing with claims and her attention to detail, compliance and product knowledge makes her an invaluable asset to clients on policy amendments.

Tanya has been working with our Kleinmond team since September 2022 having previously worked in the wholesale pharmaceutical, education and military fields. She is a true people’s person and displays a true passion for helping others. She has a strong knowledge of computer systems, and these characteristics serve her and our clients well in her core role administering client investments, insurance, and medical aid portfolios.

Known for her reliability, good humour, professionalism, and dedication to excellence, Tanya is an integral part of the Wealth and Asset team, ensuring that operations run smoothly, and client needs are met with care and precision.
